Art created in a software that simulates 3 dimensions. Objects are composed of a geometric mesh that combines to form a model. These can be textured, lighted, animated and rendered.
Adding to an original image or taking away from an original image in order to create either an entirely new image or an altered original.
Commonly commercial art aimed at a target audience to advertise a company, product, event, etc...or convey a message.
In high school I was introduced to an early version of Maxon Cinema 4D. That was the point at which I knew I wanted to be in digital production and design. As a freshman in college, experience with C4D and my growing friendships at Mount San Antonio College landed me my first internship. Gener8xion, a small production company in Hollywood, brought me and four other students in to intern for the feature film, 'One Night with the King.' My job was assisting with prop and cloth modeling that would eventually end up in the final cut of the movie, earning me screen credit on the film.
After two and a half years at Mt. SAC (earning an Associate's of Science and an Associate's of Arts), I transferred to California State University, Fullerton to further my study of 3D computer animation, graphic design and entertainment arts. At CSUF I took a series of classes designed to familiarize the student with all aspects of being in the creative production field. After finishing with a Bachelor's of Art from CSUF I took a series of advanced anatomical modeling classes at Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood, CA.
As a result of my training, I gained knowledge of the many aspects that go into the making of any design or production. I learned skills like advanced modeling, texture techniques, rigging, skinning, animation, rendering, graphic design, photo manipulation, and product design. With the knowledge I now have of design, I am confident I can take on any creative challenge set before me.
